Connecticut School of Broadcasting teamed-up with Radio Ink Magazine to launch the first ever Sports Radio Conference.

The industry’s top minds in Sports Radio met for two days in Miami, Florida to discuss the future of sports broadcasting.

Speakers included:

  • Lew Dickey – President & CEO of Cumulus Media
  • Mo Davenport – Senior Vice President/GM for ESPN Radio
  • Chris Corcoran – Executive VP/GM, NBC Sports Radio
  • Jason Wolfe – VP Programming & Operations, WEEI & WRKO
  • Mark Hannon – Market Manager, CBS Radio / Boston

Cumulus Media CEO Lew Dickey gave the keynote speech on Wednesday, May 15th. Dickey provided his outlook for the partnership between Cumulus Media Networks and CBS Sports Radio to create a a 24/7 all-Sports Talk radio lineup across the top 50 markets. Afterwards, he spoke with Connecticut School of Broadcasting Vice President, Missy Robinson about the tremendous opportunities in sports radio for CSB students. Cumulus Media is a partner with Connecticut School of Broadcasting’s scholarship program.
