KYRA GOES COUNTRY

Connecticut School of Broadcasting
Apr 14, 2016

Kyra Lasorsa was working for a national restaurant chain as a Hostess and other duties, when she decided she'd much rather Host her own radio show! After attending Connecticut School of Broadcasting's Needham, MA Campus a little over a year ago, she's been busy climbing the ladder at Cumulus Radio in Worcester, MA.

After graduating Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Needham, Kyra started working on the Street Team for 104.5 WXLO, WWFX 100 FM The Pike, and 98.9 Nash Icon [WORC-FM]. Shortly after, she moved into a Board-Op position for the WXLO morning show, which led to becoming their Associate Producer! But that wasn't all! Right now she's in training for an on-air spot at 98.9 Nash Icon: Cumulus Radio's top Country music station. Kyra is elated, "My goal has always been to be on-air with country radio, so I couldn't be happier. Connecticut School of Broadcasting was the best decision I've ever made! I learned everything I needed to get where I am today." She's even gotten to meet country stars like Phil Vassar, who joins her in the photo above. Connecticut School of Broadcasting Needham Director Steve Williams always loves getting updates from his grads, "I'm so proud to watch Kyra grow into her new career path. It's just another of our great right place, right skill sets success stories."
