We're proud of our heritage as the nation's oldest and largest group of broadcasting schools. Here's a look back at how we've changed over the years.
1964 - Connecticut School of Broadcasting is born!
Renowned Hartford radio personality, Dick Robinson, opens a new school to teach the fundamentals of radio broadcasting.
The 70’s
We add a second campus in nearby Stratford, Connecticut. Soon, the school would expand to 10 campuses up and down the east coast.
The 80's
We expand our radio-based curriculum to cover television as well. Cameras, TelePrompTers and linear editing decks fill the schools, as students prepare for lights, camera, action!
The 90's
Connecticut School of Broadcasting ushers in the digital age! Tapes, records and carts are replaced by computers, CD’s and mini-disks.
2006 - 2009
In 2006, Dick sold the school to a division of Credit Suisse. In May 2009, Dick bought back the school, updated the equipment, and now....
We’re Back!
2010 - 2011
We launched All Noise Radio - our very own internet radio station powered by Connecticut School of Broadcasting students! In addition, students now have 24-hour online access to video tutorials, studio handouts, forums and more. We opened our 12th campus in Miami, FL!
2011 - 2012
Connecticut School of Broadcasting introduces Spanish curriculum into our Miami / Fort Lauderdale campus.
