On Veterans' Day 2014 at 10 AM, CSB student Ryan McPherson hosted a Special Veterans Day Broadcast on Buckhead Business Radio. He interview representatives from the wounded Warrior Project, veterans empowerment organization, team red white and blue, and The Kellan company. He is learning at an immeasurable pace, creatively exploring and experiencing everything that radio has to offer in Phase II. Ryan is grateful to seize this fantastic opportunity. He has chosen broadcasting as a career path since serving in the United States Army Infantry 2005-2010 and receiving a Purple Heart for service in Iraq in 2008.
NEW AT CSB----ADOBE PREMIERE PRO VIDEO EDITING AND YOU ARE INVITED TO THE FIRST WORKSHOP! SATURDAY 11-22-14 FROM 11A-2P WITH Accomplished Senior Editor JON MILLER Jon currently edits for the new Bounce TV network. For over 25 years, he has been a creative video editor for other clients such as advertising giant J. Walter Thompson, Tyler Perry, CNN, Turner Classic Movies, Tribune Broadcasting, and NFL broadcasts airing in London. His versatile approach to projects has led him to editing challenges from short form commercials to long form documentaries. Jon is proficient on Adobe Premiere Pro and almost every other editing software invented! He hails from Delaware where he graduated from the University of Delaware, earning several key certificates and awards for his work. This workshop will focus on answers to Basic Questions and help new users become more familiar with the interface and how to edit video. Get a solid look at Adobe Premiere! AVID WORKSHOP THIS SATURDAY 10/25/14 with Michael Hessing, 11a-2p, 1755 North Brown Road For students interested in advancing their basic Avid skills and learning more about the craft of Editing. Michael has over twenty-five years of TV broadcasting/film experience in international and local television markets. As a promotion writer and AVID editor, he has helped double viewer ratings for CBS Atlanta’s first and only 4pm Newscast. Previously he has spearheaded, wrote, and produced award-winning on-air promotion for CNN Creative Services, created sales videos and promos for the launch of various CNN networks, video tributes to Ted Turner and former CNN Anchor Bernard Shaw, and served as Managing Producer of CNN’s award winning Medical Unit. He is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable TV instructor as well as Campus Coordinator for CSB Lawrenceville. Michael has worked with CSB for the past ten years.
